The Self-Administration affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has announced the opening of several centers to settle the status of former Syrian regime elements and affiliated groups in the city of Tabqa and its countryside west of Raqqa, in addition to the town of Maskanah in eastern Aleppo.
A statement issued by the Administration stated that the operation includes the opening of four centers in "Tabqa Province," distributed between the city center, the town of Mansoura, and the village of Jarniyah, in addition to a center in Maskanah. A circular issued by the "Internal Affairs" specified that these centers are designated for settling the status of: army elements and security forces affiliated with the former Syrian regime, armed groups associated with them, those who obtained weapons illegally, and those fleeing from internal security forces, self-defense forces, and the SDF.
The circular No. (5) demanded those concerned with settling their status to attend with their weapons, military equipment, previously issued official documents, in addition to two personal photos. The settlement period is set from April 5 to 25, warning that non-compliance will result in legal action.
This measure is part of the security efforts of the Self-Administration, coinciding with the announcement by the spokesman for the "Northern Democratic Forces" (affiliated with the SDF), Mahmoud Habib, about the formation of 8 committees to discuss the integration of the SDF into Syrian state institutions, explaining that these committees will address security, military, and administrative issues. He expressed hope for satisfactory solutions for all parties.
