Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi confirmed today, Saturday, that the next round of talks between the United States and Iran, scheduled to be held on Sunday, will not take place as planned.
Al-Busaidi emphasized that the Iranian-American talks scheduled in Muscat on Sunday will not take place.
He added that diplomacy and dialogue are the only way to achieve lasting peace.
Earlier on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the continuation of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran is "unjustified."
Meanwhile, a U.S. official confirmed that the United States still wants to hold discussions with Iran.
