SDF: 153 Attacks by ISIS Since December 2024 and We Emphasize the Necessity of Cooperation with the International Coalition

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces revealed, in a press conference held by its official spokesperson "Abjar Dawood" on Monday, that the terrorist organization ISIS has carried out a total of 153 attacks in northern Syria since December 2024, which the statement refers to as the date of the "fall of the regime of former President Bashar al-Assad".
Dawood added, during his review of the recent security developments: "Our forces, with the support of the international coalition, have carried out 70 operations, including three large-scale combing operations, during which 95 terrorists were arrested, including 3 leaders".
The spokesperson addressed the human losses during those confrontations, saying: "30 fighters were killed while responding to ISIS cell attacks, while 12 others were injured, and 6 civilians were killed".
The spokesperson of the SDF firmly emphasized the importance of the international coalition, considering that "cooperation with the international coalition is a crucial element in preventing the return of ISIS," while also calling for "more operational and logistical support".
The press conference came in the aftermath of a series of intensive security operations, where the statement indicated that the SDF carried out, in early September, an operation in cooperation with the coalition targeting what it described as a "dangerous terrorist" in Raqqa, along with another operation east of Deir ez-Zor during which "elements suspected of belonging to the organization were arrested".
The statement also highlighted a qualitative operation that took place in the town of Shaheel in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where the international coalition, supported by the SDF, carried out a "helicopter landing operation" coinciding with a "heavy deployment" of forces and the flight of warplanes and drones, resulting in the "arrest of dozens" before the forces withdrew to their base.
It is worth mentioning that the statement concluded by noting that "some remnants of ISIS are still trying to revive their cells in some Syrian areas" despite the heavy losses suffered by the organization.
