Samsung's Galaxy S26 Requests Food and Uber Cars Automatically

Samsung has announced the launch of an advanced artificial intelligence feature in the Galaxy S26 series phones, allowing users to perform multiple tasks such as ordering food and calling an Uber or Lyft car automatically with a single voice command.
The feature is powered by Google's Gemini AI system and is currently available in the United States and South Korea in English.
New Gemini Feature in Galaxy S26
The Gemini feature allows users to have full control over applications to perform various tasks without direct intervention, such as:
- Ordering food from nearby restaurants or cafes.
- Calling a taxi through ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft.
- Purchasing grocery items from apps like Instacart soon.
By long-pressing the power button on the Galaxy S26 and giving a voice command like:
"Find me the best coffee from the nearest cafe and order it for me,"
the smart assistant Gemini starts working in a virtual window showing every step it takes, including:
- Opening the appropriate apps.
- Browsing through menus.
- Selecting items and adding them to the shopping cart.
- Executing actions automatically until reaching the final confirmation stage.
The app also provides two options for the user:
- Pause the task.
- Full control to intervene at any step or cancel the entire process.
Currently Supported Apps
The feature currently supports the following apps in the United States:
- Uber
- Lyft
- DoorDash
- Uber Eats
- Starbucks
Support for the Instacart app will be added soon to expand the range of services.
Gemini Updates on Pixel Devices
Before its launch on the Galaxy S26 series, Google updated Gemini on Pixel phones at the end of last month to handle food orders and ride-sharing services, reflecting the feature's transition to Samsung phones alongside its commercial launch.
Availability and Language
The feature is currently available for Galaxy S26 phones in the United States and South Korea and supports only the English language.
