Russia records a jump in its international reserves to $712.6 billion

The Central Bank of Russia announced that the country's international reserves increased by 1.1% during the period from September 12 to 19, reaching a new historical level of $712.6 billion.
According to the bank's data, the value of the reserves was recorded at $705.1 billion on September 12, reflecting a remarkable increase in just one week.
The figures also showed that Russian international reserves achieved an annual growth of 1.8% during the past year, rising from $609.1 billion at the beginning of January 2025 to its current level.
The Russian international reserves consist of highly liquid foreign assets, including foreign currencies, gold, special drawing rights, in addition to the reserve position in the International Monetary Fund, making them one of the most important tools for the country's financial stability.
