Local sources reported clashes in the town of Deir Maqrin in Rural Damascus on Saturday evening, following an attempt by internal security forces to arrest one of the participants in a wedding for firing shots into the air.
According to the information, the confrontations resulted in the injury of three people, including two security personnel, in addition to a civilian from the locals, who were transported for treatment.
Sources indicate that the tension erupted when the security force attempted to enter the venue of the celebration to carry out the arrest, leading to a direct confrontation with some attendees.
The incident has brought back to the forefront the debate over the phenomenon of gunfire during social events, and the repeated security and humanitarian risks it poses in various areas of Syria.
