Campaign "Our Rural Area Deserves It": A National Call to Rebuild Schools in Rural Damascus

The director of the "Our Rural Area Deserves It" campaign, Tarek Al-Hussein, launched an open call to all Syrians to contribute to the reconstruction of the education sector in Rural Damascus, emphasizing that the time has come to give back to the rural residents who have endured years of siege and destruction.

Al-Hussein explained that the campaign aims to restore 700 damaged schools, in addition to completely rebuilding 107 schools, and establishing 300 new schools to meet the increasing needs resulting from the return of residents and refugees. The campaign will last for a month, with significant reliance on the support of Syrian expatriates to fund educational and service projects.

This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate the infrastructure in Rural Damascus, which also includes the health, electricity, and water sectors, aiming to improve the living and service conditions for the residents and enhance educational opportunities in areas that have been deprived for years.
