Reopening of the Al-Arida border crossing between Syria and Lebanon.

The General Authority of Border Crossings has announced the reopening of the Al-Arida border crossing between Syria and Lebanon, in response to the increasing demand from citizens wishing to travel during the blessed Eid al-Adha.
Mazen Aloush, Director of Local and International Relations at the Authority, stated in a press release: "The Al-Arida crossing, connecting northern Lebanon with southwest Syria between the provinces of Tartous and Tripoli, has been opened. Around 1500 citizens from both sides entered through the crossing with hundreds of cars smoothly between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m."
Aloush added: "There is a complete flow in the movement of travelers, and no obstacles have been recorded so far. Our staff are distributed throughout all the facilities of the crossing in entry and exit points, passenger halls, and customs," noting "direct communication with our brothers on the Lebanese side of the crossing to overcome any obstacles."
He also explained that the proactive opening of the crossing was due to "the numerous requests from citizens wishing to come to Syria to spend the holiday of Eid al-Adha," pointing out that the basic preparations have been completed, with some work to be completed after the holiday.
Aloush emphasized that the General Authority of Border Crossings provides all services and facilities for travelers, whether Syrians, Arabs, or foreigners, through this vital crossing, which is one of the most important crossings between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that there has been a significant flow of movement since the early opening hours, amid security and service arrangements to ensure smooth travel.
