Prince William in Riyadh: A Historic Tour with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Prince William, the Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh for an official three-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed his guest in the historic Diriyah, the cradle of the first Saudi state, where he took him on a unique tour to explore the Najdi architectural heritage and the most prominent historical landmarks.
The tour included the At-Turaif district and the Salwa Palace, one of the historical palaces that served as the center of governance during the first Saudi state, where a commemorative photo was taken featuring both crown princes.
Prince William also learned about the master plan for the Diriyah development project, which is one of the largest urban and heritage projects in the Kingdom, as part of efforts to preserve heritage and enhance the urban landscape of the historic city.
Among those welcoming the British prince was the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz, while Reuters reported that the visit comes on behalf of the British government to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The visit of Prince William follows a series of Saudi initiatives to strengthen international relations, reflecting the mutual interest between the Kingdom and the United Kingdom on political, cultural, and economic levels.
