Pakistan Successfully Tests Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile "Smasher"

Pakistan announced the successful maritime test of its new locally-made anti-ship ballistic missile "Smasher," which has a speed of 8 Mach and is designed to deliver rapid, high-energy strikes against surface targets.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the navy launched the missile from a locally manufactured warship, confirming its ability to accurately hit maritime and land targets. The statement added that the system is equipped with the latest guidance technologies and features advanced maneuvering capabilities, reflecting the technological progress achieved by Pakistan and the commitment of its naval forces to protect national interests.
The "Smasher" missile follows a different semi-ballistic trajectory compared to "cruise" missiles, as it rapidly ascends to a certain altitude before diving towards its target at hypersonic speeds, giving it clear advantages in modern naval confrontations.
