In a serious development reflecting the rising tensions in the region, the commander of the Iranian Air Force threatened that his country will start launching missiles equipped with warheads weighing no less than one ton from now on, in a move indicating a more aggressive phase in the confrontation with the United States and Israel.

The military commander explained that the pace of launches will significantly increase in the coming period, and the range of the missiles used will expand, confirming that Iranian forces will continue their operations at a higher rate and broader scope, according to what was reported by official Iranian media.

* Sharp European Criticism

In contrast, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen launched a sharp attack on Iran during a European meeting held in Brussels, considering that Iranian missiles and drones have caused widespread destruction in the region.

She stated that EU partners are facing what she described as random Iranian assaults, warning that the expansion of the war could lead to serious consequences on various political, economic, and security levels.

* Heavy and Cluster Munitions

For its part, the Iranian news agency "Tasnim" revealed that some of the recent strikes were carried out using missiles equipped with cluster warheads, in addition to missiles carrying heavy warheads estimated to weigh around one ton, reflecting a clear escalation in the nature of the weaponry used.

* Tehran: We Are Ready for War

Politically, Iran renewed its readiness to continue the war against the United States and Israel.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote on the platform X that his country is "on high alert," adding that Tehran has "many surprises."

* Estimates of Continued War

In contrast, the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported estimates from the Israeli army that the war with Iran could last at least a month.

U.S. President Donald Trump also previously indicated that achieving objectives in Iran could take several weeks.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed that it is fully prepared to continue fighting for a period that could reach six months, emphasizing that its military capabilities allow it to continue the conflict for a long time.

Amid mutual threats and escalating statements from various parties, the region seems to be heading towards a highly sensitive phase, with international fears that the expansion of the war could have serious repercussions beyond the borders of the Middle East.
