Axios reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that U.S. President Donald Trump believes the Iranians "are well aware of the nature of the party they are negotiating with," referring to the U.S. administration's approach to managing the nuclear file.
Netanyahu explained that despite his doubts about the chances of reaching an agreement with Tehran, he informed Trump that any potential understanding must include issues that Israel considers essential, foremost among them the Iranian ballistic missile program and Tehran's support for its proxies in the region.
He added that the conditions put forth by the U.S. administration in the negotiations are "good," considering that they may ultimately lead to an agreement that meets security requirements.
