China Exempts Imports from Most African Countries from Tariffs

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced today, Saturday, that his country will implement a tariff exemption on imports from most African countries starting from May 1.

China stated that this step aims to enhance economic partnership with the continent and expand trade exchange between the two parties.
