During the opening of the second year of the ninth session of the Shura Council, today Wednesday, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken pivotal positions regarding the Syrian file and has implemented multiple initiatives to support the stability of Syria and the unity of its territory.
In his speech before the council members, Prince Mohammed bin Salman pointed out that Riyadh has succeeded in pushing for the lifting of international sanctions on Syria, in a step that reflects the Kingdom's commitment to supporting political solutions, enhancing reconstruction efforts, and providing a safe environment for the return of Syrians to their homeland.
He added that the Kingdom continues to support Syria on various levels, including economic and diplomatic assistance, emphasizing that the unity and stability of Syrian territory represent a shared Arab priority, and that Riyadh will remain an active partner in any path aimed at sustainably ending the Syrian crisis.
These statements come at a time when Arab-Syrian relations are witnessing positive transformations, amid regional efforts to reintegrate Syria into its Arab surroundings and enhance cooperation in security, economy, and the voluntary return of refugees.
