The Tunisian Ministry of Interior announced that the attack targeting one of the ships participating in the aid fleet heading to the Gaza Strip at the port of Sidi Bou Said was "premeditated".
The organizing committee for the Global Solidarity Fleet stated that one of the ships was attacked on Tuesday by an unknown drone while docked at the port, hours after a similar incident targeted another ship. The committee released footage showing a bright object falling from the sky onto the ship, causing a fire, with no injuries reported.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that it is conducting all necessary investigations to identify those responsible for the incident and any colluding parties, noting that the results of the investigation will be announced to the public.
Participants in the fleet, which includes dozens of ships from several countries carrying food and medical supplies, indicated that the repeated attacks will not stop their mission, affirming the fleet's continued course towards Gaza to break the blockade.
The departure of the ships, originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, has been postponed to Thursday or Friday due to bad weather and logistical procedures.
