Football legend Lionel Messi sent a message of support and encouragement to the players of the Argentina U-20 national team, following their loss in the U-20 World Cup final against Morocco, which claimed the historic title in Chile.
In a post on his official "Instagram" account, the former captain of the Tango team wrote:
> "Keep your heads up, guys, you had a wonderful tournament. We all hoped to see you lift the trophy, but we are proud of what you achieved and the spirit with which you defended the colors of Argentina."
Messi did not mention congratulating the Moroccan team on their achievement in his post, focusing solely on supporting his country's players after the defeat.
The Moroccan team made history by winning the U-20 World Cup title for the first time, following their well-deserved victory over Argentina with a score of 2-0, with goals scored by striker Yasser Zbeiri of the Portuguese club Famalicão in the first half of the match held in the Chilean capital Santiago.
This victory is an unprecedented achievement for Moroccan and Arab football, as Morocco became the first Arab country to win the U-20 World Cup title, and the second African country to achieve the title after Ghana in 2009.
The "Atlas Cubs" had an exceptional journey to glory, having eliminated major teams such as Spain, Brazil, and South Korea, before defeating the United States and then France on their way to the dream final.
