Lebanese Minister of Justice: Discussions with the Syrian delegation on prisoner exchange and the missing persons file

The Lebanese Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, stated in an interview with "Al-Arabiya" channel today, Tuesday, that a Lebanese delegation met with its Syrian counterpart to discuss the legal framework for transferring prisoners between the two countries, confirming that the discussions took place within clear official frameworks.  

Nassar explained that the Syrian side showed initial responsiveness regarding the file of Lebanese individuals forcibly disappeared in Syria, as well as concerning some fugitives from justice in Lebanon, noting that this step could open the door for broader judicial cooperation.  

The minister also revealed that Lebanon requested from Damascus additional information that could assist in ongoing investigations within Lebanon, in cases related to the missing and wanted individuals, pointing out that this file holds priority for the Lebanese government due to its humanitarian and legal dimensions.
