The leader of the Dignity Men Movement, Laith Al-Balous, stated today, Friday, that "lawless gangs attacked some residents of Sweida Governorate."

He added: "We have decided to activate the judicial police in Sweida with locals from the governorate."

Al-Balous called for controlling the situation on the administrative borders of Sweida Governorate and deterring armed gangs threatening the security of Sweida Governorate.

He affirmed, "We are in agreement with the Syrian people in general and reject sectarianism."

He pointed out the need to stop violations against the Druze community in the countryside of Damascus and welcomed the security presence on the road between Damascus and Sweida.

He continued: "We confirm that we are Syrian Arab nationalists and reject separation from Syria."

Al-Balous continued, "We do not need protection from anyone, and our priority is to establish security in Sweida Governorate to prevent violations from occurring."

It is worth mentioning that Al-Balous survived an assassination attempt yesterday, Thursday, in the city of Shahba in the countryside of Sweida.
