Kuwait: The Gulf Cooperation Council welcomes the positive developments in Syria and supports its stability.

Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, affirmed during his participation in the second summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ("ASEAN") in Kuala Lumpur, the Gulf countries' welcoming of the positive developments in Syria, expressing their full support for efforts to achieve stability, preserve the country's sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the Crown Prince as saying: "The GCC countries welcome the positive developments in the Syrian arena, and affirm their support for all efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, preserving Syria's sovereignty and territorial unity, ensuring the security and stability of the Syrian people, and opening up prospects for development and prosperity."
In a related context, the Crown Prince of Kuwait addressed the situation in Palestine, calling on the international community to "assume its legal and moral responsibilities" and "exert the necessary pressure to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza," emphasizing the need to implement relevant international resolutions on the Palestinian issue.
These statements were made during the summit held today in the Malaysian capital, which discussed enhancing cooperation between the Gulf and ASEAN in various fields.
