Israeli Army: Interception of a Drone Coming from Yemen Near the Border with Egypt

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday evening that the air force intercepted a drone launched from Yemen, in the latest development in a series of drone attacks targeting southern Israel.
Hebrew media reported that the interception took place near the Israeli-Egyptian border, noting that a second drone coming from the same direction was detected.
No official details have yet been released by the Israeli authorities regarding the type of drone or potential damages, but military sources confirmed that the interception was successful without any injuries.
The Israeli army is expected to issue a detailed statement later clarifying the circumstances of the incident and the defensive measures taken.
This development comes a day after the Israeli army announced the interception of four drones launched from Yemen towards the city of Eilat in the south of the country, three of which were shot down within Israeli airspace, and the fourth before reaching the coastal city.
On September 24, 22 people were injured, including two in critical condition, after a drone launched from Yemen fell in a tourist area in the city of Eilat.
It is noteworthy that the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) announced the execution of dozens of missile and drone attacks against Israel and against ships in the Red Sea that they claim are linked to it, asserting that these operations are in response to the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.
