Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Claim the Lives of 13 Palestinians in 24 Hours

The Gaza Strip has witnessed a new wave of violence in the past twenty-four hours, resulting in the death of 13 Palestinians, including a leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades, due to a series of Israeli airstrikes across various areas in the region.
Local medical sources reported that the last victim was an elderly Palestinian woman who was killed while sleeping inside her tent in the Khan Younis refugee camp, after the Israeli army opened fire on the camp, which also led to injuries among several displaced individuals, some of whom are in critical condition.
* Targeted Strikes on Leadership Homes
The most notable airstrikes targeted two residential homes in the center of the region, one belonging to Mohammed Al-Houli, a leader in the Al-Qassam Brigades, who is accused by Israel of being involved in the attack on October 7, 2023, resulting in his death along with three others.
Israeli aircraft also bombed a home belonging to the Al-Khatib family in the Nuseirat camp, resulting in the death of a Palestinian and his wife, and injuries to others with varying degrees of severity.
* Gunfire Near the "Yellow Line"
The strikes also included areas east of the Zaitoun neighborhood and the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, in addition to targeting a checkpoint belonging to "Hamas Police" near the Nablusi Roundabout west of the city.
Israeli forces also opened fire on Palestinians attempting to reach their agricultural lands near what is known as the "Yellow Line," which are areas under Israeli control.
* American Plan to End the War
These developments come as the second phase of the American plan to end the war in Gaza went into effect on Wednesday, which included the formation of a "Peace Council" for Gaza, as announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on his platform "Truth Social."
At the same time, Hamas confirmed its readiness to hand over the administration of Gaza to the transitional committee as part of the American plan, amid escalating hostilities that threaten civilian safety and exacerbate their suffering.
