The Iraqi judiciary announced today, Tuesday, the handover of two suspects to both Finland and the United States, after verifying that they are not linked to the 'ISIS' organization, according to the French Press Agency.
Details of the Handover Decision and Legal Procedures
The 'National Center for International Judicial Cooperation' stated in a statement that the suspects (a Finnish minor and an American) were handed over to their respective authorities after completing the legal and judicial procedures, as part of international judicial cooperation.
The statement clarified that the handover process came after extensive investigations proved that there was no evidence linking them to the 'ISIS' organization, which necessitated their release and transfer to their countries.

This development comes amid Iraq's ongoing management of thousands of detainees linked to terrorism cases, including Iraqis and foreigners from more than 60 countries, who were arrested during the years of war against the organization.
