Emirates Global Aluminium announced yesterday, Saturday, March 28, 2026, that its "Al Taweelah" site in the Khalifa Economic Zone was damaged due to an Iranian missile attack targeting the area as part of assaults that included missiles and drones.

Injuries Among Emirates Global Aluminium Employees Without Serious Cases

The company clarified in an official statement that the attack resulted in injuries to several of its employees, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate, confirming that no serious injuries have been reported so far.

The Company Begins Assessing Damage at Al Taweelah Site

Emirates Global Aluminium confirmed that it has already begun a comprehensive assessment of the damage inflicted on the Al Taweelah site, amid the ongoing repercussions of the attack on the Khalifa Economic Zone.

Abdul Nasser bin Kalban, the company's CEO, stated:

"The safety and security of our employees is a top and unwavering priority under all circumstances, and the extent of the damage is currently being assessed," emphasizing the company's commitment to protecting its workers.

Production at Al Taweelah and the Company's Global Aluminium Stock

It is noted that production at the Al Taweelah site reached about 1.6 million tons of cast aluminium during 2025, and Emirates Global Aluminium holds large quantities of its product stock at multiple locations around the world, in addition to maritime shipments that were en route since the beginning of the conflict.
