Despite the U.S.-Iran agreement on a two-week ceasefire, Iran continued to carry out simultaneous waves of attacks against Gulf states, raising new tensions and causing significant damage to vital infrastructure.

UAE Intercepts 17 Ballistic Missiles and 35 Drones from Iran

The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that its air defenses intercepted 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones launched by Iran towards UAE territory today, clearly continuing Tehran's challenge to the agreement announced between the United States and Iran. The ministry also noted that it has dealt with 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2256 drones since the beginning of the Iranian assaults.

Kuwait Suffers Material Damage from Iranian Attacks

At the same time, Kuwaiti defenses reported that they intercepted about 28 drones launched by Iran, but were unable to prevent some attacks from reaching oil facilities and power stations, resulting in significant material damage to energy and desalination facilities. The General Staff of the Army stated that they are making every effort to monitor and respond to the attacks.

Gulf Officials: Iran Has Violated Its Commitments

Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, described what is happening as not just a passing circumstance, but a real test of the ability to protect Gulf gains and ensure the continuity of vital sectors. He confirmed that the Iranian attacks represent a significant challenge to regional security despite the international agreement on a ceasefire.

Trump Approves Agreement and Threatens Further Actions Against Iran

In contrast, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his approval of the agreement and set a deadline for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, threatening immediate tariffs and sanctions on any country supplying Iran with weapons. These threats come amid ongoing tensions and escalating Iranian attacks on the Gulf, despite Tehran's promises to cease counterattacks if the targeting against it stops.

International Warnings of Continued Escalation and Its Impact on Global Energy

The initial analysis of the attack results indicates unprecedented disruption in global energy markets, with expectations of rising oil and gas prices due to the continuation of Iranian attacks, reflecting the seriousness of the situation for regional and international security, amid doubts about Iran's commitment to the agreement.
