The Internal Security Forces Seize a Warehouse of Stolen Weapons in Nawa, Daraa Countryside

The Internal Security Directorate in Daraa Governorate carried out a precise raid in the Nawa area today, Sunday, following a report from a local resident about the presence of weapons inside one of the houses.

The operation resulted in the seizure of large quantities of various weapons and ammunition, which were found to be stolen from military barracks during the collapse of the previous regime and were intended for illegal trade.

The ministry clarified that the seized items included light and medium weapons and various types of ammunition, along with communication devices and night vision goggles, and they were handled according to the approved legal procedures, in preparation for referring the case to the relevant authorities.

This operation is part of an ongoing security plan aimed at tracking sources of illegal weapons and controlling smuggling networks that threaten the stability of the region.

The Internal Security leadership also praised the cooperation of the residents, confirming that public reporting was a key factor in uncovering the warehouse and confiscating its contents.
