Internal Security in Deir ez-Zor Arrests Former State Security Branch Chief

The internal security forces in Deir ez-Zor province, today Wednesday, managed to arrest Colonel Daas Hassan Ali, the former head of the State Security branch in Deir ez-Zor during the rule of the ousted regime.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on its Telegram channel: "After careful monitoring and intensive surveillance, the internal security leadership in Latakia province arrested Colonel Daas Hassan Ali, the former head of the State Security branch in Deir ez-Zor during the rule of the ousted regime, involved in war crimes, violations against civilians, and economic crimes, notably oil theft and its sale for personal gain."

It added: "He has been referred to the competent judiciary for legal action".
