Oil exports from Fujairah Port saw a significant increase today, Saturday, amid the ongoing war between the United States and Iran and its effects on navigation in the region, according to Reuters.
Boosting Exports to Overcome Hormuz Closure
Data indicated that the UAE has boosted oil exports through Fujairah Port as a strategic option to overcome the partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important maritime routes for global crude transport, reflecting the country's commitment to ensuring continued oil flows to international markets.
Loading Rate Increased by 57%
According to the report, the crude oil loading rate at Fujairah Port increased by 57% during the period from March 20 to 24, reaching approximately 1.9 million barrels per day, marking a significant rise compared to previous rates.
A Step to Enhance Energy Security
These moves are part of the UAE's efforts to ensure energy security and stability in its oil exports at a time when the region faces significant geopolitical challenges due to the ongoing war in the Middle East and its impacts on global energy markets.
