Historic qualification for the Syrian women's national team to the 2026 Table Tennis World Cup.

The Syrian national women's table tennis team achieved an unprecedented accomplishment by qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals in London, after defeating the Saudi team 3-0 in the decisive match of the West Asia qualifiers held in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
This qualification came after the Syrian team, consisting of players Hind Dhazza, Aya Ali, Ebaa Halaq, and Hala Hammameh, won 3-1 against the Lebanese team in the previous round, becoming the only team to secure a spot in the world championship from these qualifiers.
On the other hand, the Syrian men's team, including players Mohammed Salem Dhazza, Ghaith Gharib, and Abdulaziz Mousalli, lost to Saudi Arabia and Qatar 0-3, ending their hopes of reaching the finals.
Commenting on this achievement, Engineer Mohammed Hazouri, head of the Syrian delegation, praised the outstanding performance of the players and the positive atmosphere accompanying the team's participation in the championship, confirming that "the well-deserved qualification for the World Cup finals is a continuation of the players' excellence in the past period and their harmony with each other and with coach Hamza Mousalli."
