The local organizing committee of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 announced that the total value of the cash prizes allocated for this anticipated edition will exceed 36.5 million US dollars, equivalent to about 132.9 million Qatari Riyals, making it one of the richest tournaments globally in terms of financial rewards. This historic 10th edition, the second under the new organization supervised by FIFA, reflects the rising status of the tournament on the international stage. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Qatari Minister of Sports and Youth and President of the organizing committee, emphasized that this announcement enhances the position of the Arab Cup as a prominent sports platform that revives Arab competition spirit, following its relaunch by Qatar in 2021. He added that allocating this record number of prizes is a clear indication of Qatar's continuous commitment to developing football in the region and supporting positive values promoted by sports, including Arab unity and belonging, as well as providing inspiring opportunities for communities and young talents to thrive. Qatar hosting the Arab Cup 2025 continues the legacy of the 2022 World Cup hosted by the country, which received global acclaim as one of the most successful editions of the tournament ever. The upcoming tournament will be an occasion to celebrate Arab football identity and enhance solidarity among the region's peoples. The final draw ceremony for the tournament is scheduled for next Sunday, with the final matches taking place from December 1 to 18, coinciding with Qatar's National Day. It is worth mentioning that the Syrian national team participated in the previous edition of the tournament but was eliminated in the group stage, despite previously finishing second in the 1963, 1966, and 1988 editions, reflecting a long history of competition in this championship.
