On the fifth day of the Israeli-American military confrontation with Iran, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced the detection and interception of several hostile aerial targets within the country's airspace early Wednesday.
The official spokesperson for the ministry stated that the air defenses engaged with the targets and destroyed them; however, the interception resulted in debris falling on a residential home, leading to human injuries and material damage, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Qatar: Downing Drones and Cruise Missiles
For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Defense confirmed that the country was attacked by 10 drones and two cruise missiles coming from Iran.
The ministry explained that the air defenses intercepted 6 drones, while the air force engaged with 2 drones and the cruise missiles, and the naval forces downed 2 other drones. Doha emphasized its “full capabilities to protect national sovereignty and respond to any external threat.”
UAE: Interception of Ballistic Missiles and Detection of Hundreds of Drones
In turn, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the interception of 3 ballistic missiles and the detection of 129 drones, of which 121 were intercepted, while 8 fell within the country's territory.
The ministry noted that since the start of the attacks, 189 ballistic missiles have been detected launched towards the country, 175 of which were destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea and one missile landed within Emirati territory. Additionally, 941 drones were detected, with defenses intercepting 876 of them, and 65 fell within the country.
The attacks resulted in 3 fatalities and 78 injuries described as minor, in addition to limited and moderate material damage to some civilian facilities. The ministry clarified that the sounds heard in various areas were due to the interception operations carried out by air defense systems and fighter jets.
Regional Escalation Expanding
These developments come in the context of an expanding war, as several Gulf countries have become part of the operational theater, whether through direct targeting or by dealing with projectiles and drones crossing the skies.
With the continuation of mutual strikes, the region appears to be facing a highly sensitive security phase, amid an increase in the frequency of attacks and growing fears of the conflict slipping into a broader regional confrontation.
