Global Star Sharon Stone Cries at Major Social Event in Austria

In a touching scene that stole the spotlight, Hollywood icon Sharon Stone was overcome with tears during her attendance at the Vienna Opera Ball last Thursday evening.
On the red carpet, the 67-year-old star told an Austrian radio station: "I feel a bit emotional," adding that the evening was "extraordinarily breathtaking in a beautiful way."
Stone described the atmosphere as reflecting a spiritual sense of cultural pride and unity, calling the event a "sea of grace, elegance, and dignity," in one of Austria's most important social occasions.
The star wore a dress inspired by the works of famous Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, designed for her by the late Italian designer Valentino, which added an exceptional artistic touch to her appearance.
The opening ceremony featured performances inspired by Broadway, including the aria "Maria" and the balcony scene from the musical "West Side Story" by renowned composer Leonard Bernstein.
The ticket prices reached 410 euros ($486), while premium boxes went up to 26,000 euros.
* Hollywood Icon of the 90s
Sharon Stone, born in 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, entered the world of fame after winning the title of Miss Pennsylvania, later transitioning into modeling and acting in the late 1970s.
Her small roles were the beginning of widespread fame, before she achieved stardom in the 1980s and 1990s, with her name associated with popular commercial films such as "Sliver _ 1993" and "The Specialist _ 1994," alongside several television and theatrical works.
* Struggle with Life After Severe Brain Hemorrhage
In 2001, Stone suffered a severe brain hemorrhage that required hospitalization and several surgeries, with most doctors describing her condition as hopeless.
However, the American star defied expectations and managed to recover gradually, despite suffering from nerve weakness, temporary loss of movement, and speech problems.
During her long recovery years, she stepped away from the spotlight, negatively impacting her career and financial situation, as she revealed in a previous interview that she lost about $18 million due to this health crisis.
This year's Vienna Opera Ball was characterized by artistic luxury and majestic atmosphere, affirming its status as one of the most prominent social and cultural events in Austria, attended by high-profile figures including Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, with approximately 400 police officers deployed to secure the event.
