Egypt supports Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza and calls for an extensive discussion on implementation mechanisms

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Atti, announced on Thursday evening that his country supports U.S. President Donald Trump's plan and vision to end the war in Gaza, emphasizing the need to move forward with its implementation despite many challenges.

Abdel Atti pointed out that there are significant gaps that need to be addressed regarding Trump's plan, especially in the areas of governance and security, stressing that implementation requires extensive discussion and genuine political participation from the concerned parties.

He added: "If there is political will, I believe that Trump's plan for Gaza can be implemented," referring to the possibility of reaching a comprehensive settlement that ends the ongoing war and restores stability to the region.

These statements come at a time when regional and international diplomatic efforts are increasing to halt the escalation in Gaza, amid varying calls regarding the feasibility of Trump's plan and the stance of the Palestinian parties on it.
