Egypt and Spain.. A Strategic Partnership Renewed by King Philip's Visit to Cairo

Cairo witnessed a historic visit by King Philip VI, reflecting the depth of Egyptian-Spanish relations that have lasted for decades.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for Spain's supportive stance on the Palestinian issue, especially its decision to recognize the Palestinian state as an important step towards achieving peace and stability in the region.
Both sides also reiterated their rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians, emphasizing the need to intensify international efforts to alleviate the suffering in the Gaza Strip.
The two parties discussed enhancing cooperation in the fields of security, justice, and fisheries, as well as coordinating to face regional and international challenges.
