Eden Hazard After Retirement: From Real Madrid Stardom to Driving a Taxi

The Belgian star Eden Hazard, former player of Real Madrid and Chelsea, revealed a surprising turn in his career after retiring from football, as he is now a taxi driver in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
Hazard, who is 35 years old, said in an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian: "My life is now very simple; I am a father of five children, and I work as a taxi driver more than I am a football player, and that is perfectly fine."
He added: "I made the decision to retire for my family and children, and also because of the weather and food in Madrid. Life goes by very quickly; yesterday I was nineteen, and today I am 35. We must enjoy life, not just in football, but in everything."
* Hazard's Career with Clubs and National Team
Hazard joined Real Madrid in June 2019 for 115 million euros from Chelsea (2012-2019), but he suffered from recurring injuries during his time at the royal club, which significantly affected his performance.
During 54 matches in La Liga, Hazard was only able to score 7 goals, including six matches in which he failed to find the net.
Prior to that, he began his career with Lille in France (2007-2012) and left a significant mark on the international level, having played 126 matches with the Belgium national team and scored 33 goals.
After a challenging period at Real Madrid, Hazard decided to prioritize family and personal life, preferring to enjoy a quieter life away from the pressures of football.
