The analysis conducted by the international observatory showed that defenders achieved astonishing figures, with Abdulkadir Khosanov from Manchester City recording the highest speed in the league phase at an average of 35.8 km/h.
The ranking also included prominent names like Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, players from Paris Saint-Germain, in the fastest full-backs category, while Archie Gray topped the midfielders' list.
Among forwards, Kylian Mbappé maintained his status as one of the fastest players with a top speed of 35.7 km/h.

The Shock: Distance Covered During Matches

Despite his incredible speed, statistics showed that Mbappé recorded a low average in the distance covered during matches. The observatory explained:
"The study highlights the distribution of effort based on speed, as some forwards spend a large part of the match without running, spending time walking."
Mbappé tops the list of players who covered the most distance on foot, followed by Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray, and then Luis Suárez from Sporting Lisbon.
