Diplomatic Crisis Between Spain and Israel After Anti-Semitism Accusations

The Spanish government had announced a package of measures including a ban on the entry of ships carrying military equipment into Spanish ports, and preventing aircraft associated with Israel from using airspace, as part of what it described as "pressure to stop the genocide in Gaza."
Sa'ar responded with a direct accusation against the Spanish government, claiming that it is exploiting these measures to divert public attention from internal corruption scandals, describing the steps as an "anti-Israel and anti-Semitic campaign."
For its part, the Spanish Foreign Ministry rejected these accusations, describing them as "false and unacceptable," affirming that its policies are based on international law and United Nations resolutions, and that the summoning of the ambassador comes as part of an assessment of bilateral relations following the recent escalation.
