The authorities in Denmark confirmed today, Sunday, that the region of Greenland does not need an exceptional health initiative, emphasizing that medical care services are available to all residents.
This Danish stance came in response to an announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday, expressing his intention to send a floating hospital ship to the self-governing region, which had previously shown interest in being annexed by the United States.
For his part, Greenland's Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen clearly rejected the American proposal, stating: "No, thank you," indicating the region's commitment to managing its internal affairs without external interference.
