Damascus witnesses the graduation of the first batch of tourist police to support security and tourist services.

In the context of enhancing cooperation between the Ministries of Tourism and Interior, the first batch of the Tourist Police Administration was graduated today, Monday, June 2nd, at the Police College in Damascus, aiming to enhance security in tourist areas and enforce regulations to ensure the safety of visitors.
The Minister of Tourism, Mr. Mazen Al-Salehany, emphasized during his speech at the graduation ceremony that this step represents a significant milestone in the development of the tourism sector, stating that the establishment of this administration aims to "enhance tourist security and provide distinguished services for them."
Al-Salehany pointed out that the success of this initiative depends primarily on cooperation between government entities and local communities, affirming that "this integration is essential to achieve tourism excellence and make Syria an attractive destination."
The ceremony was attended by several officials, including the Deputy Minister of Tourism for Hotel Affairs and Quality, Mr. Faraj Qashqoush, the Deputy Minister of Interior for Police Affairs, Major General Ahmed Latouf, and the Director of the Traffic Department, Brigadier Fadi Al-Hamish, reflecting the official interest in this project.
