Israeli army launched a artillery attack on areas in southern Syria this Tuesday evening, following allegations of projectiles being fired from Syrian territories. The Syrian news agency reported that the Israeli shelling targeted the Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa, while the Syrian "Al-Ikhbariya" channel mentioned that the Israeli shelling hit the Sahm Al-Jolan area in the western Daraa countryside, after Israeli claims of projectiles falling in the occupied Golan Heights, originating from southern Syria. The Israeli army stated in a statement on Tuesday that "the projectiles were launched from Syria," activating alerts in the southern Golan Heights area. They added that the projectiles landed in an open area. The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the projectiles were launched from the village of Tseel, located in southern Syrian Golan Heights, opposite the Hushfin area. The village is approximately 11 kilometers away from the other side of the Syrian Golan Heights occupied by Israel. In response to Israeli allegations, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel "considers Syrian President (Ahmed Al-Sharaa) directly responsible for any threat or gunfire towards Israel, and a full response will come soon."
