Continuation of Fires in the Countryside of Lattakia and Evacuation of Families from the Bazoura Area

Firefighting teams and volunteers continue their efforts for the fourth consecutive day to combat the raging fires in the countryside of Lattakia, which have spread to the Bazoura area near the intersection of the village of Al-Zubar, forcing authorities to evacuate two families from their homes after the flames reached their vicinity.

The fires that broke out in the forested highlands face significant challenges due to the speed of the winds, the rugged terrain, and the remnants of war that hinder firefighting teams from reaching some hot spots.

The region is witnessing widespread public solidarity, with volunteers participating alongside civil defense teams in the extinguishing operations, amidst calls to intensify logistical support and provide the necessary equipment to control the flames and prevent their spread to additional residential areas.
