Civil Defense in Gaza: Thousands of Bodies Still Under the Rubble and Thousands Missing

The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip stated on Thursday that rescue teams estimate that around 8,000 bodies are still under the rubble, despite ongoing search and recovery operations in various affected areas.

He added that more than 3,000 people are still missing, amid uncertainty about their fate, whether they are alive, deceased, or detained.

He pointed out that Civil Defense teams are facing significant difficulties in search operations, noting the disappearance and decomposition of hundreds of citizens' bodies due to the prolonged time and complexities of fieldwork.
