Bezhkian's statements came during his participation in the international conference "Iran Corridor 2026," where he emphasized that regional leaders seek to establish concepts of security, sovereignty, and governance, asserting that dialogue and understanding represent the most effective way to address outstanding issues and achieve stability.
He pointed out that wars and armed conflicts do not yield real gains for any country, explaining that violence complicates crises, increases the suffering of peoples, and threatens the stability of the region.
Enhancing Partnership with Moscow
The Iranian president discussed the nature of relations with Russia, describing them as strong strategic relations, noting that bilateral agreements, especially in economic and developmental fields, represent practical steps to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
Rejecting External Interventions
Bezhkian affirmed that the countries of the region have the capacity to address their disputes through dialogue and direct cooperation, stressing that the management of regional affairs should be done away from any external guardianship.
Regional Cooperation as an Alternative to Military Solutions
The Iranian president concluded his statements by emphasizing that achieving regional stability requires building trust and enhancing cooperation among the countries of the region, considering that military solutions cannot provide sustainable security compared to political and diplomatic solutions.
