A brutal rape crime shakes the countryside of Hama.. and public outrage turns it into a public opinion issue

Local sources in Hama reported a horrific rape crime against a young woman in her twenties, in the city of Salhab in the western countryside of the governorate.
According to the sources, three armed men intercepted the victim while she was heading from the village of Hurat Amourin to her workplace, stripped her of her clothes, and raped her brutally in broad daylight, before leaving her naked on the road, until some locals intervened to rescue her and take her to the National Hospital of Al-Suqaylabiyah.
The incident comes in the context of a series of similar assaults that have occurred in the area by individuals exploiting their tribal influence, and it has sparked widespread outrage among the residents, who demanded that the authorities conduct an urgent and transparent investigation and hold the perpetrators accountable without exception.
It is noteworthy that the incident has turned into a public opinion issue, as there has been widespread interaction and significant uproar in Syrian circles – both at the popular level and through social media platforms – amid increasing calls to put an end to these crimes, protect women, and ensure community security.
