The British Disaster Emergency Committee launched an urgent appeal for donations today, Friday, to support Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, after months described as "extraordinary challenges" faced by the residents due to the war and blockade.

The committee stated in its announcement that it is preparing to expand its humanitarian programs to reach more residents of the sector by providing food, medicine, and clean water, emphasizing that the humanitarian needs in Gaza remain "huge and urgent."

This appeal comes at a time when Britain, along with Germany and France, announced its commitment to provide additional humanitarian aid through United Nations agencies as soon as the ceasefire agreement comes into effect.
