Brigadier General Hossam Al-Tahan Visits Detainees in Sweida: A Confirmation of the Law and a Strengthening of Stability

In a notable step reflecting the new direction towards reconciliation and building trust between the local community and security agencies, the Commander of Internal Security in Sweida Governorate, Brigadier General Hossam Al-Tahan, today, Tuesday, visited a number of detainees from the governorate in light of recent events, in the presence of the Directors of Internal Security and accompanied by Sheikh Laith Al-Bal'ous, one of the prominent social references in the region.

During the visit, Al-Tahan reviewed the conditions of the detainees and their temporary detention circumstances, affirming the complete commitment of the internal security forces to apply the law and ensure the rights of the detainees in accordance with judicial rulings and the legal guarantees in place.

This visit comes as part of official efforts to calm the situation and enhance stability in Sweida, following a series of tensions that the governorate has witnessed in recent months. It also reflects the security leadership's keenness to maintain direct communication with the local community, emphasizing that security should be managed in the spirit of law and justice.
