The presidency in Iran announced on Wednesday that President Masoud Bezhakian had a phone call with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, to discuss the implications of the recent military escalation and what Tehran described as the "U.S.-Zionist aggression" against Iran.
During the call, Bezhakian emphasized that developing relations with neighboring countries is a key priority in Iranian foreign policy, stressing the importance of enhancing regional cooperation amid the tensions in the region.
The Iranian president also stated that any attack on Iran originating from U.S. bases deployed in the region would not be acceptable, warning of the repercussions of using those bases in military operations against his country.
In this context, Bezhakian noted that Tehran would conduct thorough investigations regarding the reports about the attack targeting the Port of Salalah in Oman.
