The Aleppo Governorate announced today, Thursday, the start of preparations to reactivate agricultural aviation from the grounds of Aleppo International Airport, in a step aimed at rehabilitating agricultural planes and employing them in the service of the agricultural sector and enhancing public health in the countryside of the governorate.
The project is part of a comprehensive development plan to revive technical support tools for agriculture, combat plant pests, and improve crop quality, in addition to using these planes to spray environmentally friendly pesticides to limit the spread of harmful insects and diseases in rural areas.
The concerned authorities aim through this initiative to utilize the airport's infrastructure in the service of agricultural development, by preparing aircraft hangars and updating technical equipment, ensuring the agricultural fleet is ready to operate during the upcoming seasons.
