Al-Qassam Brigades Announce Execution of Operation Against Israeli Military Site South of Gaza

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced today, Thursday, the execution of a qualitative offensive operation against Israeli forces in the Netzarim axis south of Gaza City.
The brigades stated in a statement that their fighters "raided the Israeli military site (the pools) south of the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon," explaining that a direct confrontation took place with the Israeli forces "at zero distance."
The statement added that Al-Qassam members were able to inflict a number of casualties among the Israeli army, targeting two "Merkava" tanks with "Yassin 105" and "Tandem" anti-armor missiles.
The statement indicated that there was an attempt to capture one of the Israeli soldiers during the operation, but that "the field conditions did not allow for that." It also mentioned that the Israeli army called in helicopters to evacuate the dead and wounded, and the evacuation process lasted "more than an hour," indicating the potential scale of losses.
No immediate comment has been issued by the Israeli army regarding the incident or what was stated in the Al-Qassam Brigades' statement.
