A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Interior participated on Saturday in the proceedings of the 28th Arab Conference for officials responsible for combating terrorism, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in the Tunisian capital during the period of October 8-9, with the participation of delegations representing member Arab countries.
Prior to the conference, the fifth meeting of the Arab experts team concerned with monitoring and exchanging information on terrorist threats and analyzing them was held on October 7, where the latest developments related to the evolution of terrorist threats in the region were discussed.

The Syrian delegation participating in the conference was headed by Major General Naif Abdul Majid, Director of the Counter-Terrorism Department, and included Colonel Abdul Rahim Jabara, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Suleiman Al-Faqi, Director of the Information Department.
The conference and its accompanying meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, and recommendations were made aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination among Arab countries in the field of combating terrorism, which contributes to raising the level of readiness and Arab security integration to face common challenges.
