16 people were injured, including ten students, today Tuesday, in a shooting incident that occurred inside a vocational high school in Şanlıurfa province in southeast Turkey, according to local authorities.
Details of the Attack
The governor of the region stated that the incident took place in the city of Siverek at around 09:30 AM local time, where an assailant opened fire inside the school before turning the weapon on himself and committing suicide at the scene.
Identity of the Perpetrator
Preliminary investigations revealed that the attacker was a former student of the school, with motives not yet disclosed, while security authorities have begun their investigations into the incident.
